In 2003 Edge suffered a legit neck injury and had to undergo surgery. More than a year after, he returned during the 2004 Draft Lottery on March 22 by spearing then-General Manager of RAW, Eric Bischoff. Earlier on the night, Edge had been drafted from SmackDown! to RAW.

@TheAgeOfRunefire187 Internet rumor websites existed long before this, but when they REALLY want to surprise people, they are able to keep things under wraps. Was the same when HBK surprisingly came back in 2007. They don’t do it enough though; they always feel they have to tease a return or give it away cause they aren’t secure in their ratings anymore
