(b) that all Western men are rich enough to even afford the cost of visa requirements to support a foreign national
Actually you did use a good analagy though. Money does not buy happiness – god knows how many lottery millionaires have seen their lives go downhill since winning (people out to defraud them, false love affairs based on money, changing their nature and lifestyle to one which does not suit, loss of friends/family due to jealousy and I could go on)

Perhaps it is for a few low lives but in general no, they are usually raised to be honest women with good educations that enjoy the challenge of doing things on their own.
unfortunately for my family, my son did met and marry a eastern European girl of bad character that used him to get into the US legally. We did see signs of her intentions while we were overseas but our son was in love and wouldn’t listen to anyone not even when his 80 year old Hungarian grandmother cried after she met the girl and begged my husband and I not to allow him to marry her.
He was blinded by love and cost him in both money and emotional breakdown.
He supported her for several years before they married, they both traveled back and forth from the states to Hungary and he financed her living expenses for several years allowing her to relax in her country while she waited for her documents to arrive from the US.he even paid for her schooling for acting classes, dancing and inertior decorating.
When she finally was able to stay in the US with our needing our son any longer, she dropped him like a hot potato and moved on to guys that could do even more for her.
We saw the signs but it’s hard to tell someone in love that they are a fool, even if you know it’s going to break them.(Just our luck, he should met the one girl that was a user)
In most cases, they aren’t impressed just because you come from the US.Like I stated, a nice, honest women wouldn’t let anyone do some much for her without feeling something for them.
